Netflix Games Attracted Less Than 1% Of Subscribers
Every day, less than 1% of the total online cinema subscribers launch mobile games streaming Netflix. It is reported by CNBC with reference to data from Apptopia, a mobile app analytics company.
Netflix Games, included with every subscription, allows users to play multiple games on their mobile devices. Projects come out as separate applications in the App Store, and currently have 24 titles.
Just like how Apple Arcade works, there are no ads, additional fees, or in-app purchases in the games. The idea is that people remain active users of the service in anticipation of new films and series.
For example, Netflix has linked several games to popular series. These include Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, and an upcoming chess game based on the TV series The Queen’s Move. Netflix hasn’t said how much it’s investing in games, but the company has acquired Finnish developer Next Games for about $72 million. Netflix says the catalog will expand to 50 titles by the end of the year.
