NASA Successfully Launched The Artemis Mission To The Moon
The US space agency NASA launched its most powerful SLS (Space Launch System) rocket ever from Cape Canaveral in Florida. This is a new American program to return a man to the moon “Artemis”.
The Space Launch System (SLS) launch vehicle and the Orion spacecraft were launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral.
The launch vehicle is supposed to launch the unmanned Orion spacecraft into orbit, which will go to study the surface of the Earth’s satellite. If the mission is successful, it will be possible to talk about readiness for a new manned flight to the moon.
Recall that NASA planned to launch the Artemis-1 mission in early September 2022. However, then experts discovered serious problems with the rocket and it was decided to postpone the start of the launch in order to avoid unpredictable serious consequences.
