Kia EV3 E-car With ChatGPT-Based Voice Assistant Presented
The new Kia EV3 was presented in South Korea. The brand’s smallest and most affordable electric crossover will go on sale in March 2025 at a price of just over $30,000. Its details were revealed on the automaker’s official website.
The electric car will be equipped with a new voice assistant based on ChatGPT from OpenAI. Kia itself also had a hand in developing the voice assistant – the large language model underlying ChatGPT was modified and customized by the automaker.
At first, the electric car will be available only with a 204 hp engine. (283 Nm), but there will be two battery options: a standard capacity of 58.3 kWh and a Long Range capacity of 81.4 kWh. The latter will provide up to 600 km of travel on the WLTP cycle. Fast charging is supported – from 10 to 80% the battery is recharged in just 31 minutes. The crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 170 km/h.
Kia EV3 electric cars will be produced in Korea, the start is scheduled for August, although orders will be accepted on the local market in July. European sales will begin in the fall. Price lists have not yet been published, but the expected level is from 35 thousand euros.
