Huawei unveiled the Pura X Max foldable smartphone, featuring a widescreen display. The iPhone Fold and Samsung Wide Fold are expected to feature a similar display and design.

The company positions the Pura X Max as the industry’s first foldable smartphone with a widescreen internal display measuring approximately 7.6–7.69 inches diagonally with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This makes the smartphone more usable than a compact tablet.

The external display, measuring approximately 5.5 inches diagonally, allows you to send messages and make calls without opening the device. The front camera hole is located in the center of the top edge, while on the internal display, it’s offset to the corner. The rear panel houses the main camera module with horizontally arranged sensors.

The smartphone will be available in five color options: Midnight Black, Zero White, Interstellar Blue, Olive Gold, and Vibrant Orange. The previous model, the Pura X, has already demonstrated decent sales, surpassing the 1.5 million unit shipment mark, creating a positive backdrop for the launch of its successor. The estimated price is 10,000 yuan.
