HTC Desire 22 Pro Is A VR Smartphone 

As promised, Taiwanese tech giant HTC has launched a new smartphone to give users access to the metaverse. Yes, HTC Desire 22 Pro was launched today in Taiwan, which offers several metaverse-focused features. So, let’s take a look at these features as well  also on the main hardware features of the new HTC smartphone.

HTC has implemented a dedicated VIVERSE app on this phone so that users can easily access the metaverse. You can cast the 300-inch large screen from the Vive Flow headset to Desire 22 Pro. In addition, you can use the Viverse app to create virtual VIVE avatars and control  with your digital assets, including NFTs and more, using the VIVE Wallet. You can even use the Vive Wallet to store cryptocurrencies and easily transact.

In terms of specifications, this may be disappointing to many who have read about HTC’s return to the smartphone market over the past few months. While HTC General Manager Charles Huang said at the time that the company would release a high-end smartphone, it introduced a mid-range phone with  premium features.

In addition, the device supports 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity to stream your Vive Flow headset to your phone and enjoy the metaverse.Desire 22 Pro also includes a triple rear camera setup including a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens  and a 5MP depth camera. The device runs Android 12 out of the box.

The HTC Desire 22 Pro is priced at NT$11,990 in Taiwan and will be available in two color options, Wave Gold and Starry Night Black. It will be available for purchase starting July 1st along with the Metaverse Early Bird Bundle and Combo  package with Vive Flow headset priced at NT$23,490.
