Google Unveiled Its First Smartwatch: Pixel Watch

Google has released the Pixel Watch, its highly anticipated Wear OS 3.5 smartwatch. The pre-orderable Pixel Watch is also available as a pre-order bonus with the Pixel 7 Pro if purchased before October 17th. In addition, Google will offer a £179 discount on the Pixel Watch if you purchase a Pixel 7 in the same period.

The smart watch received a compact 41 mm body and a round display with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, Always-On Display mode and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Naturally, they have support for Google services, including Google Maps, Google Wallet (for which the watch has a chip  NFC) and Google Assistant. The latter allows you to control the device and other smart home devices using your voice.

The gadget comes preloaded with Wear OS 3.5.  It can “connect” with all smartphones running Android 8.0 or newer OS version. The declared autonomy is 24 hours. The device also has GPS support.

The smartwatch is 5ATM water resistant, meaning it can withstand pressure at depths of up to 50m in still water and accidental immersion in water, although deep diving is undesirable. A sleep monitoring system, a heart rate sensor and an ECG recording system have been added to the device. The watch model will be available in several colors: black, silver and gold.

Pixel Watch sales start at a price of $350. The model with LTE support will cost more – they ask for $ 400 for it.
