Google Shows Pixel 9 Pro And Pro Fold Before The Presentation

Google unveiled the Pixel 9 Pro ahead of schedule due to numerous leaks of the upcoming smartphone. The full announcement of the 9th generation Pixel is still scheduled for August 13, 2024.

Google has released a couple of short videos showing off some of the features of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. As reported by The Verge, the video indicates the integration of artificial intelligence based on the Gemini neural network, which is not surprising given the company’s announcements at the Google I/O conference in May of this year.

The Pixel 9 and 9 Pro are expected to feature 4,558 mAh batteries, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL will feature a 4,942 mAh battery, which is only marginally larger than its predecessors. As for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, this folding smartphone has become more elongated and has thinner frames. Its battery will have a capacity of 4560 mAh, which is slightly less than that of the previous model.

Images on the pre-order page published by Google also give a glimpse of the redesigned camera array, which has lost the edge-to-edge strip format in favor of a more tablet-like shape. In turn, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have rear cameras embedded in a square island with rounded edges.

If you believe the leaks, Google plans to show four smartphones on August 13, 2024 at Made by Google: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
