Google Shows Off New Colorful Android 16 Design

Google has officially unveiled a major update to the interface design of its Android mobile operating system, based on the Material 3 Expressive concept. The developers sought to add more emotion to the interface, while making it more attractive and easier for users.

All applications have received a new design, fonts and animations. The peculiarity of Material Three Expressive is the use of bright themes that adapt to the wallpaper. Also in Android 16 there will be notifications of Live Activities, which have long been available in iOS. They will also be displayed during the Always-On Display.

The notification panel has a new quick settings design. Users can change the size and order of icons. Wear OS has new bright watch faces, lots of smooth animations, and dynamic themes that change the color of the entire system depending on the color of the watch face.

Google assures that the innovations will not affect the performance and battery life of devices.
