Google Pixel 9 To Feature AI Search Based On Screenshots
Technology company Google plans to introduce Screenshots and Studio features soon. Both features are new for the company.
Google’s Pixel Screenshots feature is privacy-focused and will only process manually taken screenshots to search for information on them. At the same time, users will be able to enable or disable AI processing for their screenshots at any time.
Pixel Screenshots will also allow you to summarize information from screenshots and answer questions related to their content. At the same time, Google will save some metadata, such as web links, the time the screenshot was taken, to make them easier to find on the device in the future. The images will be processed by local AI, presumably a new multi-modal version of Gemini Nano.
It is noted that this feature will allow users of Pixel 9 series smartphones to collect information from previously saved screenshots. And Google’s artificial intelligence, Gemini, will save them from having to rummage through the gallery in search of the desired graphic object.
