Facebook And Instagram Launch NFT Support

The American company Meta has added support for non-replaceable tokens (or NFTs) in their super popular social networks Facebook and Instagram.

Users will now be able to post the “digital collectibles” they hold in their digital wallets.

That is, it will be more convenient to work with NFT. You just need to connect your crypto wallet to any application once, and share it on both platforms at once.

Recall that now the company is working with three wallets – Rainbow, MetaMask and Trust Wallet.  Coinbase Wallet and Dapper Wallet will be added to this list soon.  Social networks do not yet charge any fees for posting or sharing art tokens.

Meanwhile, here’s Snoop Dogg and Eminem’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, which featured animated versions of their NFTs. As for bleak visions of the near future, The Last of Us has nothing to do with it.

NFT support is one of the elements of Zuckerberg’s global strategy for moving into the metaverse. The tech giant expects virtual worlds to replace the usual social networks in a couple of years, and is preparing to become a successful player in the Web3.0 ecosystem. But so far, not everything is going smoothly for them. So, recently Zuckerberg was severely criticized for publishing screenshots from the metaverse. The virtual world has received clumsy graphics in the style of the 90s, and it is unlikely that this quality can attract users.
