EU Extends Roaming Abolition For Community Travel Until 2032

The EU extended the abolition of roaming when traveling within the Community and the European Economic Area until 2032.
“A new and improved roaming regulation comes into effect on July 1, 2022. It extends ‘roam like at home’ until 2032, allowing EU and EEA travelers to call, text and use mobile data abroad at no extra charge”, says the structure’s message.
It is noted that we are talking about the extension of the cancellation of tariffs for roaming within this region, which has been in effect since 2017.
The European Commission noted that “operators providing mobile services will need to ensure that consumers have access to use 4G networks or more advanced 5G networks if available at the destination.”
