“Dead Island 2” Played By Over 10 Million People
The zombie action game Dead Island 2 from Dambuster Studio has attracted more than 10 million players since its release last April. Publisher Deep Silver announced the achievement in a recent press release. This significant audience growth is partly due to the game becoming available on subscription services Game Pass and PS Plus, which allowed many gamers to enjoy the continuation of the popular series.
The last time information about sales was published was in May of this year (after the release on Steam) – then we were talking about 3 million copies. At the beginning of the outgoing week, on October 22, Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition was released. The collection included the main game, two story add-ons (Haus and SoLA), as well as all previously released updates and item sets. The zombie action received an important patch with the “New Game +” mode, the cooperative Neighborhood Watch mode.
Dead Island 2 takes place in Los Angeles, where a deadly virus is spreading that turns its hosts into zombies. Players must find out the truth about the epidemic by hacking their way through the living dead.
