Cities: Skylines 2 Announced
Paradox Interactive has announced Cities: Skylines 2. The game will be released in 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and will also be included in the Game Pass library. You can add it to your wishlist on Steam now.
Paradox stated that Cities: Skylines 2 will improve upon and expand upon the robust city building mechanics familiar to fans from the original, including fully implemented transportation and economic systems, multiple building and customization options, and enhanced modding options.
Players will be able to build any type of city, from a small village to a bustling metropolis. Paradox claims that Cities: Skylines 2 will be the most realistic city simulator ever created.
Cities: Skylines was originally released on PC and Mac in 2015 and has since been released on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and even Stadia. The city builder also saw a number of expansions such as major updates to Cities: Skylines After Dark, Cities: Skylines Snowfall, natural disaster DLC, and more. The original game recently received an update for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
In the coming months, the developers promise to provide additional information about the project.
