“Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera” Battle Royale Dies in September
Activision has announced that it is about to close Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera Battle Royale. This game will say goodbye to users on September 21, 2023.
The content purchased by gamers in this project, and we are talking about skins and guns, will be available in the multiplayer modes of Call of Duty: Vanguard, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera is a rebranded version of the original Warzone launched alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2020. After the release of Warzone 2.0 last November, the original Warzone was renamed “Caldera”, after its latest map.
That being said, players could continue to play matches with the original design and features of the first battle royale if they so desired. Importantly, they were also able to access all the skins and weapons they purchased or unlocked in the three premium CoD games that were not compatible with Warzone 2.0.
Activision noted that after the closure of Caldera, players will be able to access purchased content in Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard multiplayer modes.
