Baidu Unveils Lightweight Smart Glasses With Camera And Built-in AI
Chinese company Baidu has introduced smart glasses Xiaodu AI Glasses with a built-in AI assistant with voice control. The glasses weigh only 45 grams.
At the annual Baidu World Conference, the Chinese search giant presented smart glasses Xiaodu AI Glasses with a built-in AI assistant Ernie with voice control. The gadget was developed by the Xiaodu division, which specializes in the production of devices. Smart glasses weigh only 45 grams and are equipped with a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera with electronic stabilization. There is also a chip responsible for local AI operation, but there are no details about it yet. The glasses provide an impressive battery life – up to 56 hours in standby mode or more than 5 hours of continuous audio playback. There is also fast charging – just 30 minutes will fully recharge the gadget. For calls in glasses, an array of four microphones is used, and open speakers with water protection provide clear sound.
The glasses are scheduled to be released in the first half of 2025, with an expected price of around $290. Baidu Xiaodu AI Glasses will initially only be sold in China.
