A Business Card Signed By Steve Jobs Was Sold At Auction For $181 000
An online auction, RR Auction, was recently held, dedicated to items and devices related to the history of Apple. A business card of its co-founder Steve Jobs with his autograph was paid $181,183. The only thing more expensive than Jobs’ business card at this auction was the Apple-I computer, signed by another co-founder of the company, Steve Wozniak, which went under the hammer for $323,789.
According to the source, the deal was conducted by RR Auction. The 1983 business card features the old logo (a rainbow apple), the company’s former name, Apple Computer, and the fact that Jobs is listed as chairman of the board. Of course, it couldn’t be done without Steve’s handwritten signature.
The auction house said $181,183 was the highest price ever paid for an autographed business card.
