M4 Mac Owners Complain of Problems With Ultrawide Monitors

In the past year, Apple has released many Mac computers with new M4 processors, and by now their owners are increasingly complaining about unexpected problems. These computers turned out to be incompatible with ultra-wide monitors.

Mac users with an M4 processor complain on the Apple forum and Reddit about problems with ultra-wide monitors. Especially those with a resolution of 5K2K (5120 x 2160).

Computers may not display the required resolution, and the enhanced HiDPI image mode cannot be activated. Because of this, the picture is blurrier.

Some users were able to enable HiDPI through third-party utilities. But then another problem appeared – the refresh rate dropped from 75 to 60 Hz.

Apple has not yet acknowledged the problem, and a reliable solution has not yet been found.
