Intel Arc B580 Graphics Card Is For Sale
Intel has announced the start of global sales of the ARC B580 graphics accelerator. This is the first video card from the latest ARC Battlemage line. The manufacturer positions it as a cheaper and more productive alternative to the GeForce RTX 4060.
As part of the Battlemage series, Intel has only introduced two graphics cards so far: the Arc B580 and Arc B570. Both are equipped with a BMG-G21 graphics processor, but with a different number of computing cores. The chip of the senior model, which went on sale today, contains 20 cores on the Xe2 architecture (2560 shader engines), 160 texture units, 80 rasterization units, 160 tensor cores, and 20 cores for second-generation ray tracing. The card is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory with support for a 192-bit bus and a bandwidth of 456 GB / s. The GPU of the more affordable Arc B570 model has 18 Xe2 cores, and the card itself will offer only 10 GB of GDDR6 memory. The Arc B570 will go on sale on January 16, 2025.
Prices for the new product start at $249. This is the price tag for the reference version of the video card. But the most premium versions of the adapter with the best cooling systems and the highest factory overclocking can cost up to $429.
