Honor Unveils X60 and X60 Pro Smartphones
Honor has unveiled a new series of X60 smartphones in China, including the base X60 model and the improved X60 Pro. The new models differ from each other significantly more than their predecessors, the X50 and X50 Pro.
Honor X60 is simpler: 6.8-inch IPS screen, 2412×1080 resolution, 120 Hz frequency, brightness up to 850 nits. The cutout in the display is standard and includes only an 8 MP camera. The composition of the main cameras in the smartphone is identical to the Pro version, but the device cannot shoot video in 4K resolution due to the use of a different processor – Dimensity 7025-Ultra. The battery has also “lost weight” to 5800 mAh, and charging – to 35 W. The fingerprint scanner has moved to the side edge and is installed in the power button. Stereo speakers have also disappeared, and the MagicOS 8.0 system based on Android 14 remains in place.
Honor X60 Pro is equipped with a curved OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.78 inches and a resolution of 2700 × 1200 pixels. Its peak brightness reaches 3000 nits, the frequency is 120 Hz, the PWM is declared 3840 Hz, and the color depth is 10 bits. The display’s special feature is that you can easily interact with it with wet hands without phantom clicks.
The front of the Honor X60 Pro is decorated with a large cutout, which houses an 8 MP front camera and some equipment, the purpose of which the company does not disclose. The fingerprint scanner is in the front – under the display, and on the back panel there is a large round block with cameras: 108 MP main with 3x lossless zoom and a 2 MP depth sensor. There is no optical stabilization. The device is based on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, it has a large 6500 mAh battery with 66 W charging, there are stereo speakers. The system is MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14.
