Xiaomi Unveils The Affordable Redmi Projector 5 & 5 Pro

Xiaomi has unveiled two affordable projectors in China—the Redmi Projector 5 and Redmi Projector 5 Pro. These devices boast decent specifications for their modest price tags, with prices starting at $148.
The Redmi Projector 5 features a built-in metal stand with 360-degree rotation, allowing you to project images not only onto a wall but also onto a ceiling, for example.
The projector offers 400 CVIA lumens of brightness and can project images up to 120 inches diagonally. A laser sensor, autofocus, and automatic keystone correction are used for automatic adjustment. The device is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory.
The Redmi Projector 5 Pro boasts a brightness of up to 1000 CVIA lumens and supports a 120 Hz frame rate. The projector uses a closed optical module and an all-glass lens, which Xiaomi claims delivers approximately 10% sharper images compared to previous-generation devices. The built-in stand allows for tilt adjustment up to 150 degrees.
The hardware platform is powered by a MediaTek MT9660 SoC, with memory capacities of 2GB and 64GB, respectively. The audio subsystem features two 10W speakers and passive radiators, and supports Dolby Audio.
The younger Redmi Projector 5 received a price tag of 999 yuan ($148), the older Redmi Projector 5 Pro is priced at 1899 yuan ($281).
