The World’s Most Valuable Company Named: It’s No Longer Nvidia

Following yesterday’s stock market trading, Apple overtook Nvidia to take the top spot in the ranking of the world’s most valuable companies. For the first time since April 2025, the iPhone maker has steadily strengthened its position, overtaking the AI accelerator maker.

According to Business Insider analysts, one of the reasons for the decline was a change in investor sentiment.

Experts note that the market is positively responding to Apple’s approach to developing artificial intelligence. The company prefers to lease the necessary computing power from partners rather than build its own AI data centers at a cost of billions of dollars.

Nvidia shares were further pressured by reports of large-scale investments in Open infrastructure. The $250 billion investment is planned for data center construction.

Investors are concerned that such projects require huge investments, offer slow returns, and are associated with a high degree of uncertainty.

Apple will release its third-quarter financial results on July 30, in which it is expected to reveal for the first time some of the financial impact of the global AI-driven memory chip shortage, which forced the company to raise prices on its Mac and iPad computers in June.
