Honor Unveils X6d

Honor quietly launched the affordable X6d smartphone. The model is almost a carbon copy of the previously released Play 60A, but it still has some differences.
The key difference between the devices is the Honor X6d’s 50MP main camera with f/2.0 optics (the Play 60A has a 13MP camera with f/2.2 optics). The Honor X6d’s camera still records 1080p video at 30 fps. Both devices have identical 5MP selfie cameras.
Another difference is the battery, which has a capacity of 5,260 mAh instead of 5,300 mAh. The difference is so minor that they could be the same battery, just with different listed capacities.
The Honor X6d is powered by a 6nm Dimensity 6300 processor equipped with a 5G modem. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The manufacturer has not specified whether the storage can be expanded. The smartphone runs Android 15 with the proprietary MagicOS user interface.

The Honor X6d features a 6.75-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The smartphone supports dual SIM cards, but other details such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not available. By comparison, the Play 60A supports Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as aptX HD, but lacks NFC.
The new device hit the UAE market with a price tag of $140. For that price, buyers will get a device with basic specifications, and without a battery that’s large by today’s standards.
