Lenovo Legion 9i 10th Gen Gets Glasses-Free 3D Screen
Lenovo has announced the tenth generation of its Legion 9i gaming laptop in China. The new product will go on sale in the US this fall. This 18-inch monster is equipped with the most powerful GeForce RTX 5090 graphics accelerator, a 4K display with support for 2D and 3D modes, an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, and also offers up to 192 GB of RAM and up to 8 TB of storage.

In 2D mode, the screen delivers 4K resolution (3840×2400) at 240Hz, or drops the resolution to Full HD (1920×1080) to increase the frequency to 440Hz. Glasses-free 3D mode uses lens technology and eye tracking, with a resolution of 1920×1200. Lenovo notes that the laptop supports more than 30 games in 3D format, and is aimed at designers and artists working with stereoscopic content.
The laptop has two Thunderbolt 5 ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 (three Type-A, one Type-C), HDMI 2.1, gigabit Ethernet, an SD card slot, and Wi-Fi 7. The 5 MP camera with f/2 aperture in the standard model is replaced by f/1.6 in the 3D version, both are equipped with a physical privacy switch.

The maximum configuration includes 192GB of DDR5 RAM and 8TB of SSD, distributed across four RAM slots and four storage bays. The base version has a 4K display without 3D.

The laptop has a unique look thanks to a nine-layer carbon fiber top cover that Lenovo claims is “lighter yet stronger than aluminum.” This gives the cover a unique visual pattern that varies slightly from one laptop to another.
