YouTube Tests Longer TV Adds
YouTube may change the way and duration of ads displayed in the main program on TVs – the platform is currently testing the display of longer ad breaks for users without a Premium subscription, which will not interrupt the view too often, but appear within the video.
According to Google, 79% prefer video ads grouped together rather than spread across an entire video.
There are no details yet regarding the duration of the new form of advertising inserts and the number of such inserts per unit of video time. It’s also worth imagining that this is an experiment, and sometime in the future, if this format takes root, it could significantly benefit from what users are experiencing now.
