SpaceX Moves Online Translations Of Rocket Launches From YouTube To X

The owner of the social network X, Elon Musk, wants to transform it from a microblogging service into a universal platform with the capabilities of a video platform on the level of YouTube and Twitch. In support of this strategy, his space company SpaceX has already begun moving away from live streaming its launches on YouTube in favor of X.

SpaceX has traditionally broadcast its rocket launches on YouTube, but last Sunday it chose a different scenario: the launch of 21 Starlink satellites, which took place on September 4, the company showed on its X page, ignoring YouTube. The same thing happened when the Crew-6 mission returned from the ISS to Earth – only the moment of undocking was shown on YouTube, and the rest was broadcast on X.

This initiative by SpaceX has already faced discontent from the public, which has been following the company’s space launches for several years.
