You Can Play A Demo “Himanity” Today

Humanity received a demo today ahead of its May 2023 launch. This is an indie game from Enhance, the developer of Tetris Effect, where you play as a glowing white dog leading crowds of people through blocks while you solve puzzles.

The dog is a Shiba Inu and the idea is to guide people towards the end goal of each stage.  There are a total of 90 story mode levels in the game, as well as “Hard Boss Stages”, but if that’s not enough, you can create your own and play in the “Custom Stage Library” in Super Mario Maker style.

The demo is completely free and available on Steam, PS5/PS VR2 and PS4/PS VR.  Gameplay involves herding large groups of people towards dog-shaped pillars of light. The game is played from a third-person perspective with the ability to move the camera to help players solve puzzles. Players have the ability to create stages, but stages created in the demo will not carry over to the completed game. Humanity was one of many games that received updates on the Sony State of Play.

The Sony State of Play trailer revealed more about Humanity than previous trailers, some of which were considered extremely sparse. It showed a lot more gameplay, giving players more information to hold onto until the full game is released, as well as the promise of a free demo.
