Xiaomi has released its own version of the AirTag tracker in Europe. The device, called the Xiaomi Tag, is already available at retailers in France and the UK.
The new product, model number BHR08SPGL, is particularly noteworthy for its cross-platform support. Unlike many similar devices, the Xiaomi Tag simultaneously supports both Apple’s Find My network and Google’s Find Hub (formerly Find My Device), which connects Android devices for collaborative device searches.
The tracker’s dimensions are minimal—7.2 millimeters thick. It is powered by a standard CR2032 battery, rated for one year of continuous use. It includes a Bluetooth 5.4 radio module and an NFC chip for interaction with other devices. However, the developers deliberately omitted support for UWB (Ultra-Wideband), which allows for location accuracy of a few centimeters. This limitation stems from the fact that Apple’s Find My network only supports UWB on the AirTag, forcing manufacturers to choose between search accuracy within a single ecosystem and versatility. In this case, the choice was made to cover both platforms.

According to sources, a single device costs €17.99. A set of four trackers is priced at €59.99. For comparison, similar Apple AirTags are available in France starting at €35/€119. The price difference is almost double.
