Xiaomi Showed New Pics Of The Interior Of Its First Electric Car
Tech giant Xiaomi is now entering the automotive market. The electric sedan called SU7 was the brand’s first model. The company had an ambitious idea: to make a car that would compete with the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan, but at the same time with a price tag from Xiaomi. Recently, new official photos of the car’s interior appeared online.
The electric car will probably appear at the Beijing Auto Show, which will be held in April. As for the cost, it is assumed that the price of SU7 will be in the range of 300 thousand yuan ($42 thousand).
Returning to the interior of the SU7, it should be noted that the main surprise was the presence of many buttons. This is surprising since Xiaomi is a technology company and could very well reduce the number of buttons to a minimum. The basis of the interior concept was a beautiful, intuitive design. All important elements are located close to the driver and front passenger.
On the center console there is a car start button, as well as four switches for controlling the temperature in the cabin, fan speed, suspension and active spoiler. There are also buttons on the steering wheel and the levers behind it, and not only the instrument panel, but also the head-up display can be used to inform you about driving speed and other parameters.
There will also be two batteries – with a capacity of 73.6 and 101 kWh, respectively. The maximum range is 800 kilometers (according to the CLTC cycle). With fast charging, an electric car can replenish 510 kilometers of range in 15 minutes. The manufacturer claims that the car’s drag coefficient is only 0.195. The model will also receive an autopilot function: independent driving along highways, parking, calling a car.
Full production of the SU7 should start early next year (only a small number of test units have been released so far).
