Valve Fixed The Famous Bug With A Scientist Grabbed By A Tentacle In Half-Life
The other day the legendary Half-Life turned 25 years old. In honor of the significant event, Valve released an update for the game, organized a free giveaway, and, in addition, launched a sale on games in the series on Steam.
Users who decided to replay the 1998 shooter discovered that the developers had fixed a bug with incorrect animation.
We are talking about an animation error found in the sixth chapter of Half-Life – “Blast Pit”. In one of the scenes in this level, the alien Tentacle breaks through the protective glass and drags away a helpless scientist.
The scene would be impressive even now, but a bug that appeared many years ago broke a key animation: because of this, the hapless scientist and the deadly tentacle left the room separately from each other.
The anniversary of Half-Life, coupled with the distribution, attracted the attention of players so much that the 25-year-old project even overtook Starfield online on Steam.
