Two-Seater EHang VT35 Made Its Maiden Flight

EHang Intelligent successfully completed the maiden public flight of its next-generation eVTOL (vertical take-off and landing) unmanned passenger aircraft VT35 at Hefei Feidong Bailong Airport.

The VT-35 model was announced in October 2025. Flight certification is still pending. The company expects the first scheduled intercity flights to begin in approximately three years. This type of low-altitude air transport will be ideal for travel between islands and over river deltas, which are abundant in China. While road transport requires hundreds of kilometers of bypass roads and hours of travel, and conventional helicopters require hefty ticket prices, the VT-35 will deliver passengers from point to point in 15–30 minutes, quietly and without the noise and dust.

The EHang VT35 is equipped with eight lifting rotors and a tail propeller. It has a fully loaded range of approximately 200 kilometers, a maximum takeoff weight of 950 kilograms, a fuselage length of approximately 8 meters, a height of 3 meters, and a wingspan of 8 meters.

The standard version is priced at 6.5 million yuan (approximately $920,000) in China.
