Twitter Will Allow You To Post Long Articles And Books
Twitter owner Elon Musk said that the platform team is working on a new feature that will allow users to create large posts. According to the billionaire, it will be possible to publish articles and even books.
Elon Musk has confirmed that Articles will be the place to post “long, complex mixed media articles.” Probably, authors will be able to insert pictures, videos and animations right in the middle of the text, and not just at the end, as in a regular tweet. This will bring Twitter closer to traditional blogs or even news agency sites.
Interestingly, the media can now start publishing full stories on their pages, not just headlines with a link to the text published in full on the site. And those who from the very beginning worked only for the Twitter audience, without having a separate site, may expand their format. For regular users, this can be another way to avoid lengthy threads of many individual tweets.
At the moment, only Twitter Blue subscribers can post long posts – they can use tweets with a length of 10,000 characters. The limit for regular users is 280 characters.
