The global launch of the Tecno Camon 50 smartphones is scheduled for MWC 2026 in early March, but the new Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro models have already been unveiled in several African markets.
Both models have similar basic specifications, but the higher-end version features a curved screen and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The Camon 50 Pro features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The display also includes an optical fingerprint scanner, and the front camera has a 32MP resolution. The standard Camon 50 offers similar specifications but with a flat screen. Both models are powered by the new MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The main camera on both versions is a 50MP Sony LYT700C sensor with optical image stabilization, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle module. The main difference of the Pro version is the addition of a third 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The 6,150 mAh battery supports 45W wired charging. The cases are protected to IP69K, IP69, and IP68 standards. The smartphones run HiOS 16, based on Android 16, and feature a suite of proprietary AI features.

The Tecno Camon 50 is available in Moonlight Black, Malachite Green, Nebula Titanium, Fir Green, Lavender Mist, and Mint Cream. The Camon 50 Pro is also available in Ethereal Blue. Both devices have launched in Kenya. The Camon 50 is priced at approximately $290, while the Camon 50 Pro is priced at $341.
