Team Cherry Confirmed Work On DLC For “Hollow Knight: Silksong”

Team Cherry, the studio behind the hit Hollow Knight: Silksong, has officially confirmed work on downloadable content for the game. According to the developers, the game still has content waiting to be added. Players will see the steely assassin Sharp and the Lion Village location.
Silksong is already massive, and the team doesn’t want to overwhelm new players with content—some of it will likely have to be hidden. According to Gibson, the Metroidvania will likely be “massive” by the end of post-release support.
Regarding the release timeline for new content, the developers are reluctant to commit to any promises, but they assure us that we won’t have to wait seven years for DLC. They also promise to communicate with the community more frequently.
“We didn’t plan to make Silksong seven years, and we don’t want to spend an inordinate amount of time on [DLC]. But we will adhere to the same philosophy, which could delay development,” Gibson warned.
The exact release dates for the DLC and the new project have not yet been announced. The studio is known for its approach to development without strict deadlines.
