System Shock Remake Postponed Again

A remake of the horror System Shock on the PC will take place on May 30, and not in March, as originally planned. This was reported by the portal Video Games Chronicle. When the title will be released on consoles is still unknown.

Initially, the release of the game was scheduled for 2020, but the developers repeatedly postponed it. After that, the System Shock remake was supposed to be released in the summer of 2021, later it was shifted to the end of the summer of 2022, but the release never took place. After that, the developers announced that they would release the title in March 2023.

In a recent message to the players, the developers noted that they hoped to release the game to the market by the end of March, but they were able to do it, because, unlike Shodan (the main antagonist of the series), they are “human”. Apparently, the studio needed additional time to finalize and polish the project.

As for the console version of System Shock Remake, it will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One “in due time”.
