Sony Introduced A Stereo System Of Three Wireless Speakers With Surround Sound

Sony has announced the HT-AX7, an intriguing portable speaker that promises home theater surround sound anywhere in your home.

Unlike traditional stereo systems, the HT-AX7 does not require any special installation and connection: these are three wireless speakers that you just need to place around the room and start playing. Then smart algorithms and Sony Home Entertainment Connect app will do the magic.

The stereo system connects to the sound source via Bluetooth 5.2 or USB. It can also be used as one large speaker when small speakers are placed on top of a large one.

The idea, as you might have guessed, is to place the soundbar element in front of you, with the smaller speakers behind and to the sides of you, in classic home theater style. They can be used for endless iPad Netflix sessions.

Autonomy is 30 hours. It will take 4.5 hours to fully charge a large column, 4 hours for small ones. The manufacturer promises that 10 minutes of recharging is enough for 2.5 hours of playback.
