Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Smartphone Announced

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A16 5G smartphone with a larger 6.7-inch screen than its predecessor, as well as unusually long software update support for the budget segment. The company guarantees 6 years of Android OS updates

Compared to the previous generation, the new product stands out with a larger 6.7″ SuperAMOLED screen, which has a FullHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The processor model is not officially specified; it is only known that it is eight-core and has a clock frequency of 2.4 GHz. The most likely candidate is the current Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which has become very popular among entry-level 5G smartphones.

The notch at the top of the display houses a 13MP front-facing camera, while the rear panel houses a 50MP main camera with autofocus, complemented by a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro sensor.

The 5000 mAh battery has received support for 25-watt charging. Other features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a fingerprint scanner built into the power button, a MicroSD card slot, a 3.5 mm jack, and IP54 dust and moisture protection.
