Razer Introduced The World’s 1st Gaming Chair Cushions With Haptic Feedback

At CES 2024, Razer unveiled Project Esther, the world’s first haptic feedback gaming chair pad that lets you literally feel the in-game action in your back and butt.

Razer’s Project Esther gaming chair pad is the result of years of haptic development. Back in 2018, the company introduced HyperSense haptic technology in the Nari Ultimate headphones. They used advanced digital signal processing and high-bandwidth voice coil drives to create tactile sensations for computer games. A year later, this technology was applied to Xbox headphones.

The Project Esther concept consists of 16 pads with haptic actuators that offer ultra-low latency. The user can control the directionality of haptic sensations, the integration of multiple devices and the operation of multiple actuators simultaneously. Razer says the cushions are compatible with most gaming and office chairs, so there’s no need to buy a new one for this accessory.

Prices and start dates for sales of this accessory have not yet been disclosed.
