McDonald’s To Use AI In Its Work
American corporations McDonald’s and Google have announced plans for multi-year cooperation in using Google Cloud technology in thousands of fast food restaurants around the world.
Starting in 2024, McDonald’s will begin a large-scale update of its restaurants, including the installation of new equipment and software, as well as the use of Google Cloud cloud services. These changes will affect thousands of establishments around the world. The main goal is to use generative AI to analyze huge amounts of data. This will streamline workflows and improve service quality, including serving hotter, fresher food.
Although McDonald’s has not yet disclosed details about the specifics of the use of AI, the company mentions in its statement that new technologies will help managers quickly identify and solve problems in the chain’s business processes, as well as simplify the work of restaurant staff and create new opportunities for customers.
It is planned that its restaurants will begin updating their equipment and software as early as 2024. In Chicago, however, a dedicated Google Cloud team will work with McDonald’s global innovation center known as Speedee Labs to focus on applying generative artificial intelligence to a number of key business processes.
