LG Electronics has promised to showcase its CLOiD artificial intelligence home robot at the upcoming CES 2026. It not only performs its assigned tasks but can also coordinate the operation of household appliances.
CLOiD is part of the company’s new “Easy Home” concept. The robot can integrate with smart home appliances, becoming a kind of smart hub. It’s equipped with sensors for voice interaction, a display, a speaker, and a camera, and handles household chores with two five-fingered hands. Each limb has seven degrees of freedom and includes a shoulder, elbow, and wrist joint. According to LG, this combination allows CLOiD to handle household tasks with ease. It moves around the house on wheels.

LG CLOiD unites two key areas of the Korean company’s business: the LG Q9 home robotic platform and the LG ThinQ smart home ecosystem. In demonstration scenarios, it prepares breakfast for its owner: it takes milk from the refrigerator and puts a croissant in the oven. When the owner leaves the house, CLOiD starts the laundry, and after drying, it folds the clothes and puts them in the closet. In other words, it adapts to its owner’s lifestyle and can control connected home appliances.
