iOS 17.3 Released: Performance Improvements And Anti-Theft Protection

Apple has released stable versions of the mobile operating systems iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3. In addition to fixing bugs and improving performance, the company has worked on the basic functions of the devices and improved their security.

The main innovation of iOS 17.3 is the innovative Anti-Theft feature. It is designed to prevent unauthorized access to devices and the data stored on them. Unlike previous versions, where security relied primarily on a screen lock password, the new system requires the user to use biometrics—scanning a fingerprint or using Face ID—to perform a number of mission-critical operations. This includes things like viewing your saved passwords, managing your Apple ID settings, and even applying for a new Apple card.

The changes also affected the operation of the Apple Music service. Users have the opportunity to create playlists for listening together – they can change the order of tracks and leave reactions in the form of emoji.

At the same time, the firmware now supports direct AirPlay connections in hotels – this feature allows you to broadcast content from your smartphone to TVs in your rooms. Finally, the developers have optimized the error detection technology for all modifications of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15.
