Honda To Begin Production Of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles In The US In 2024

Honda has officially announced that it will begin manufacturing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in the US in 2024.

The first model will be a plug-in hybrid based on the current generation CR-V. In theory, you’ll get an electric car for your daily commute, as well as the ability to drive long distances with zero emissions.

Production of Honda’s new hydrogen electric car will start in the US in 2024. The company will launch it at its Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) plant in Marysville, Ohio. It is noted that this car will contribute to the achievement of Honda’s earlier goal of increasing the share of battery and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in the brand’s total global sales.

The company promised to share more details about its future hydrogen car closer to its announcement in 2024. In the meantime, it is known that the Honda CR-V based will be a “hybrid”, offering a short range on “pure” electricity from the battery, without the use of hydrogen fuel.
