Google Releases Free Imagen 4 Text-to-Image Translation Model
Google has announced a new model, Imagen 4, that will allow you to generate images based on text descriptions. It is free, but only available in AI Studio and for a “limited time.”
Imagen 4 is available as a paid preview via the Gemini API, and for limited free testing in Google AI Studio. The Imagen 4 family currently includes two models: Imagen 4 and Imagen 4 Ultra. The Imagen 4 text-to-image model is designed to address a wide range of image generation tasks, with significant improvements in quality — especially for text — compared to Imagen 3. Imagen 4 costs $0.04 per generated image.
The flagship Imagen 4 Ultra is designed to produce images that closely match user-supplied text, delivering better results than other leading generative models. The cost of a single image produced by Imagen 4 Ultra is $0.06.
It was also reported that Google is testing Whisk, an experimental service for generating images without text prompts from users. It allows you to send images as input and receive their processed versions.
