Google Announces Launch of AI Mode — AI Search of the Future with Data Analysis, Graphs, and 3D Try-On

Google has announced a major launch of AI Mode, an advanced search feature that lets you ask complex, multi-layered questions and get rich, data-driven answers. The feature will begin rolling out to users in the US and will then be available globally.

“AI Mode,” as Google says, works in all browsers, but for now it’s only available to US residents and only in English. The neural search engine tab is activated on the Search Labs page, where the main requirement is that the Google account holder be of legal age.

Unlike Google Search, AI Mode allows you to use queries of any length, ask questions using text, pictures or voice. Neurosearch also allows you to use clarifying questions to get deeper, more analytical answers. Another feature of the “AI Mode” is the presence of history, so you can always interrupt the search and return to it later, continuing from where you left off.

A special version of the Gemini 2.5 model is used to process information in AI Mode and AI Overviews. In the future, some of the AI Mode functions will gradually migrate to AI Overviews.
