Folding Honor Magic VS Is Officially Presented
In China, a presentation of new products was held, where they showed, among other things, a folding smartphone Magic Vs. It is similar in appearance and layout to the Galaxy Z Fold, but is significantly cheaper.
Honor Magic Vs is equipped with a lightweight hinge that does not use gears. This hinge is made from one piece casting technology. Thus, the number of supporting structure components used in the hinge has been reduced from 92 to 4. Despite the reduction in the number of components, durability and strength are maintained. The aerospace-grade hinge withstands over 400,000 folds, equivalent to 100 folds per day for over 10 years of use.
Magic Vs comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and three memory options: 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB and 8/256 GB. The smartphone supports the new Magic Pen situl, which will connect to the device via Bluetooth.
The smartphone received a main 7.9-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2272 × 1984 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a brightness of up to 800 nits. The external display is characterized by a diagonal of 6.45 inches, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for HDR10+.
The smartphone received an updated camera with a 54 megapixel Sony IMX800 main sensor. Next to it are a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The selfie camera shoots with a resolution of 16 megapixels. LAnd the smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 66 W fast charging.
