American company Figure AI demonstrated a video of a humanoid robot jogging alongside several people. The machine’s movements appear smooth and natural.
In the future, such a robot could be used as a personal trainer or running companion, notes Digital Trends. For example, it could help maintain a proper pace during marathon training. However, its appearance in public spaces has provoked a mixed reaction. During a demonstration run, someone shouted from his car that such devices “will one day destroy humanity.”
Figure AI CEO Brett Adcock did not specify whether the robot was remotely controlled or ran autonomously during its run. The Figure o3 model was unveiled in October 2025; the android is also marketed as a home assistant.
