Smartphone keyboard maker Clicks Technology has unveiled its new Power Keyboard, a retractable design with magnetic mount, and the Clicks Communicator, a BlackBerry-inspired smartphone with a convenient QWERTY keyboard.
The device attaches to the back of the smartphone using built-in magnets. Once installed, the accessory must be turned on and connected via Bluetooth. To begin typing, slide the smartphone upward, revealing the keys. The keyboard supports both portrait and landscape orientations, allowing the device to be used in landscape mode if needed. The manufacturer claims the keyboard can be connected to up to three different devices simultaneously, including smartphones, TVs, portable gaming systems, or VR headsets. Switching between active connections is accomplished using key combinations. Essentially, the model can work with any Bluetooth-enabled device.

One notable design change is the addition of a separate number row. This solution simplifies numerical data entry and can be useful when working with spreadsheets and other documents. The addition of a number row allows for more additional symbols on the remaining keys. Directional arrows are now located on the W, A, S, and D keys. An additional feature of the new keyboard is its ability to function as a wireless charger. The total capacity of the built-in battery is 2150 mAh, of which approximately 500 mAh powers the keyboard itself. The user can manage the charge using the proprietary app. Wireless charging is 5 W, allowing you to maintain your smartphone’s charge in emergency situations.

The Clicks Communicator is indeed very similar to BlackBerry devices—at $499, the manufacturer claims it’s “specifically designed” for those who carry two phones: one for work and one for personal use. The device’s target audience is those for whom a smartphone is a work tool, used for communicating via messaging apps and email.
