ChatGPT Experienced A Major Outage
ChatGPT, a popular artificial intelligence-based chatbot, has experienced a glitch with many users reporting that they cannot open the service. Logging in to the system does not work, sending requests to the chatbot does not work, and no responses are received from it. The reasons for the failure are still unknown.
According to the Down Detector website, users from all over the world began to complain en masse about problems accessing the OpenAI website around 10 a.m. Kyiv time.
Already authorized users receive the message “Internal server error” when trying to search and make queries. Premium subscribers are also experiencing connection issues.
Not all users have access problems. Some may still be able to use the service as normal. However, they note that some queries are generated slowly, and the responses contain hallucinations (when the AI starts making up facts).
The reasons for the ChatGPT failure are still unknown. They may be due to a surge in traffic or some other problem. It is also unknown how long the service interruption will last.
