Apple’s Ultra-Thin iPhone 17 Air To Be Cheaper Than Expected

It looks like the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, which will be the thinnest smartphone on the market, will cost less than previously thought.

The Wall Street Journal claims that this model will not be more expensive than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, as previously rumored. Moreover, the new product will be even cheaper than the iPhone 17 Pro.

In fact, the iPhone 17 Air will take the place of the Plus model, which will disappear from the lineup next year. That is, the new product will be more expensive than the basic iPhone, but cheaper than the Pro models.

It is unclear how much exactly it will cost. If Apple does not change the prices for other new-generation models relative to the current ones, then we are talking about $ 900. But it may turn out that the iPhone 17 Pro, like the iPhone 15 Pro Max once, will no longer be available in a version with 128 GB of memory, that is, the base version will be the 256 GB version with a price of $ 1,100. And then the iPhone 17 Air may well start at $ 1,000.

It is worth noting that this device will be a compromise. It is credited with only one camera, one speaker, the use of a less productive platform from the Apple A19 family, as well as a noticeably reduced battery due to the minimal thickness of the device.
