Elon Musk Got Its Own AI Photorealistic Image Generator

On Saturday, some X (Twitter) users got a sneak peek at Aurora, a new image generator powered by Elon Musk’s Grok AI model. Aurora produces more photorealistic images than its predecessor, rivaling OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 in results.

This is already the second image generator for Grok by xAI. If in the case of the first, Flux, Elon Musk’s startup collaborated with other developers, then the origin story of the second, Aurora, has not yet been revealed. At least, representatives of xAI only managed to state that they took part in setting up this system. Users of the social network X began to post samples of images generated by Aurora, one of which shows Adam Sandler and his partner in the series Ray Romano, and if the actors’ faces in the generated images turned out to be similar to real ones.

Aurora has few restrictions on content, generating images of copyrighted characters like Mickey Mouse and controversial content including “a bloody Donald Trump.” It avoids nudity, however.
