Intel Introduces New Generation Video Cards — Budget Arc B570 and Arc B580

Intel has officially announced the first graphics cards in the Battlemage family, the mid-range Arc B570 and Arc B580, priced at $219 and $249, respectively.

Arc B570 received a BMG-G21 GPU with 18 Xe cores or, if we operate in more familiar units, 2304 ALU units. There are also 144 XMX units for working with AI. The core operates at 2500 MHz, and 10 GB of memory – at 19 GHz. GDDR6 memory with a 160-bit bus is used here. The TDP of such an adapter is 150 W.

Arc B580 on the same GPU has 20 Xe cores or 2560 ALUs, 160 XMX units, 12 GB of memory with the same frequency and a 192-bit bus. The core operates at 2670 MHz, TDP is 190 W.

The GPU is manufactured using a 5 nm process technology, so it should be quite cheap for Intel. In fact, the cards themselves are also quite affordable: $220 and $250.

The Limited Edition reference design is only available on the older card. In this case, there is only one eight-pin power connector, although we have already seen ASRock cards that have two such connectors. Interestingly, the PCIe 4.0 x8 interface is used. It is also worth noting that, compared to the previous generation of Intel cards, the new products are much more energy efficient.

As for performance, Intel itself claims that the Arc B580 is 24% faster than the Arc A750 and 10% ahead of the GeForce RTX 4060. However, for some reason, at a resolution of 1440p, which can hardly be called the target for such adapters.

The new products will go on sale on January 16, 2025 and December 13, 2024, respectively. The manufacturer assures that they offer maximum performance for their price.
